Cavapoochons
What Makes Them Special
A Cavapoochons are a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a Poodle, and a Bichon Frise. This particular breed, along with similar mixes are becoming quite popular these days and are often considered "Forever Young" because they keep their puppy looks into adulthood. Many call them real live stuffed teddy bears and are often referred to as "teddy bear dogs."

Our Cavapoochons
Our Cavapoochon puppies are the babies of our family pets, Charlie and Ginger. Charlie is a 15 lb Cavachon and Ginger is a Cavapoo. Therefore, their pups are referred to as first generation Cavapoochons.
Coloring
Cavapoos, Cavachons and Cavapoochons can come in a variety of colors with a variety of markings. White, Cream, Red, Apricot. Some may have unique markings around the ears and/or down the back and legs. Coloring may also change over time. For example, the Mama, Ginger, was a darker red color as a puppy and is now a light apricot. Our puppies will most likely stay on the lighter side of these colors because the parents are both light coated dogs. However, there may be darker hues within their genes. It really will be "like a box of chocolates."

Hypoallergenic
These mixes have been bred in order to eliminate shedding and dander. These dogs are often considered hypoallergenic. Cavapoochons do not have fur, they have hair, a lot like humans. If you are allergic to most dogs, you can still bring a Cavapoochon puppy home! Being a third Poodle, a third Bichon Frise and a third Cavalier, their coats will be beautifully soft, wavy/curly, easy to maintain and friendly to those with allergies. It isn't easy being allergic to dogs. Cavapoochons are pretty amazing for catering to those allergic noses that get in the way between puppy love.

Coat Care
It can be easy
Coat care can be easy. - Because these pups have hair, not fur, you will not find the hair residing in between the couch cushions and on your black sweater. When these guys mature from a puppy into a adult, expect a coat change that can be easily maintained with brushing and bathing with a quality shampoo and conditioner. Conditioner is a must and keeps the hair silky and soft, just like yours. Brushing daily helps keep hair tangle free, especially if you plan to leave the hair longer. Grooming is best done around every 6 weeks if you’d like to keep the hair shorter, for less brush maintenance. GROOMING TIP: ask for a teddy bear or puppy cut! This will keep your puppy looking like a puppy forever!
Curly or Wavy Coat
It's a surprise
Cavapoochon coats can be curly or wavyOur mama dog's hair is wavy and our daddy dog's hair is curly. Our pups will most likely be somewhere in the middle. Some puppies have more wave, and some have more curls. It is really just the luck of the draw and it may change as your pup gets older.

Charlie - The Daddy
Curly Coat
My hair started out wavy and became curlier as I got older.

Ginger - The Mama
Wavy Coat
My hair started out wavy and stayed consistently wavy as I got older.
